Weekend in St. Michael Holds Full Slate of Events

If you're looking to get out of the cold and rain this weekend, there's plenty to do around town.

It’s one of those jam-packed, spring weekends again here in St. Michael and Albertville. Check out just a handful of things that are on tap.

It’s going to feel a lot like last year’s prom (sorry, girls) out there on Saturday with wind, rain and even snow in the forecast.

However, if last year’s indication, the warm smiles won’t be in short supply as the couples parade through Grand March at the , which starts at 4 p.m. sharp. Make sure the batteries are charged in the camera.

Cost is just a buck.

Some of St. Michael’s favorite sons are back for the weekend as they unveil their second CD. You can catch the guys on stage from 8:30 p.m. to close at the in St. Michael.

If the bar scene isn’t your thing, then check ‘em out Saturday morning, as they play on KARE 11 Sunrise.

The Albertville Lions Club will be hosting a hog roast beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the in Albertville.

The dinner includes:  roasted pork, baked potato, beans, coleslaw,  dessert , milk, and coffee. The cost for adults is $10 and for children 12 and under is $ 5.

All proceeds benefit the Albertville Fire Department.

Presents “Wild Wild West”, a live and silent auction fundraiser with a dinner and dance benefiting the children of the St. Michael Catholic School.  This annual “Bids for Kids” event is on Saturday, April 28, 4 p.m. to midnight at The Northland Inn, 7025 Northland Drive, Brooklyn Park, MN.

The Beebe Lake Improvement Association and Cash Wise Liquor will team for the fourth installment of a wine/beer tasting fundraiser.

The night will also include a live/silent auction and appetizers.

Tickets are $20, and will be used toward water quality improvement, controlling invasive aquatic plants and fish stocking projects. More information can be found at BLIA’s website.

This Sunday's meat raffle at will benefit the Chad Smith Ride for Life 2012, which is set for June. Action starts at 1:30 p.m.
