Wright Technical Center Looks to Hire New Director

The center offered the position to Raymond Przekurat, Jr. from Wisconsin.

Wright Technical Center has offered a contract for the position of director to Raymond Przekurat, Jr., the current high school principal in Mosinee, Wisconsin. He is set to replace current director Julie Warner, who is retiring June 30, 2013.

Przekurat brings to Wright Technical Center the qualifications the board was looking for in its new director with a background in career and technical education as well as school administration. Prior to entering the field of education Przekurat worked in manufacturing as a machinist.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Technology Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Marian College.

He has seven years teaching experience as a technology education instructor teaching various levels of woods, mechanical drafting, metals, applied technology and A+ computer networking. He has also been involved in implementing the Project Lead the Way curriculum.

Przekurat served the Mosinee High School as associate principal for five years before becoming principal for the past four years.

Wright Technical Center provides high school career and technical programs for eight school districts surrounding Buffalo, Minnesota  including Annandale, Big Lake, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Lake, Monticello and St. Michael –Albertville.

Course offerings include: automotive technology; early childhood and elementary careers; health science technology; construction technology; cosmetology; landscape and greenhouse; law enforcement and first responder; automotive career skills; welding technology; Project Lead the Way and on-the-job training. In addition Wright Tech offers Alternative Learning Programs for middle school and high school students and a teen parent program.
