Rare Breeds: St. Michael-Albertville's Three-Sport Athletes

The high school took time to honor a handful of athletes who have spread their talents across the playing fields.

The St.Michael-Albertville Coaches Association played host to a STMA High School Three-Sport Athlete breakfast Thursday, May 19th.

Seven seniors received three sport honors and were presented with a plaque, remembrance embroidered fleece blanket, and framed certificate.  These sevenathletes have also been invited to the high school scholarship evening where they will be a recipient of a financial scholarship also hosted by the Coaches Association. Scholarship dollars are awarded based on the athlete participating in three sports from sophomore to senior year.

The STMA Coaches Association seeks community support of their continued fundraising efforts as they continue to celebrate student athletes by hosting 5K runs at both Albertville Friendly City Days and St. Michael Daze & Knights celebration, as well as the communities invitation to the Coach’s Association pork chop dinner at Middle School West, prior to a home varsity football game each fall.
