A huge mid-season test for the Knights' girls' basketball team arrives tonight as they look to keep their grip on the Mississippi 8 Conference crown. Watch it live here.
It's the matchup both teams have been waiting for since last year's classic contests.
Both St. Michael-Albertville and Monticello qualified for the MSHSL Girls' Basketball tournament last season, the Magic in Class 3A and the Knights, of course, with the "big schools."
But that didn't prevent last year's contests from being tight. The Magic pulled out a 13-point win on the Knights' home floor back in 2013. STMA returned the favor, tipping Monticello by one point in the rematch in Monticello.
The two squads are both unbeaten in conference play, and both considered favorites in their sections as we hit the midpoint of the regular season. The Magic are 10-3 on the season, while the Knights are 7-2.
