Way To Go, Girls! We're Proud of You

The Albertville City Council honored members of the St. Michael-Albertville 7/8 Girls Lacrosse Team on July 1.

The St. Michael-Albertville 7/8 Girls Lacrosse Team had a fantastic year.

At the July 1 City Council meeting, Mayor Jillian Hendrickson recapped the girls' successes with the following recap:

"The St. Michael-Albertville tied with Breck for first place in the regular season state rankings with six wins and one tie (with Breck).

"The team had wins over Benilde-St. Margaret, Minnetonka, White Bear Lake, Elk River, Buffalo and Delano.

"They entered the MSSLAX (Minnesota Schoolgirls Lacrosse) Tournament and tied with White Bear Lake in the first game, then won over Elk River and Edina, to see White Bear Lake again and won 6-4 in the final game.

"The MSSLAX covers the State of Minnesota and the team became the MSSLAX Gold Spring League Champions."

Congratulations, girls.
