2013 Construction: I-94 Rehab From St. Michael to Monticello Scheduled

Construction is scheduled to begin in late May.

Construction season in Minnesota is underway and Interstate 94 through St. Michael and Albertville is on the list for improvements.

Ten miles of westbound Interstate 94 and 1.5 miles of eastbound Interstate 94 from St. Michael to Monticello will be repaired during the summer of 2013, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Most of the traffic impact could be during non-rush hours starting late May until the end of July, with possible reduced speeds, lane shifts and occasional overnight ramp closures.

The project will span from Interstate 94 at the Crow River in St. Michael to County Road 18/39 in Monticello.

The $8.4 million project rehabilitates concrete pavement, resurface ramps and shoulders and other areas on the roadway.  Shoulders and ramps on Highway 241, County Road 19 and County Road 37 are to be resurfaced.
