Albertville Lions Farmers Market Opens June 13, New Special Events for 2013 Season

After a fourth successful market last year, the Albertville Lions again sponsoring the annual Farmers Market.

More than 1,000 shoppers attended the Albertville Lions Farmers Market each year visiting more than 25 vendors that offered their products for sale at the market. The market features local growers from the Albertville and surrounding area.  

The 2013 Farmers Market will run every 3-7 p.m. every Thursday  June 13 through Sept. 26. The Albertville Farmers Market is located at the Lions Shelter in Central Park just off Main Avenue in downtown Albertville.

This year, the Lions will be sponsoring special events, including live music every Thursday. A live car show sponsored the fourth Thursday of each month. Brats, hotdogs, chips, refreshments, and other concessions each Thursday will be available for purchase from the Albertville Lions each Thursday.

The market continues, rain or shine, customers shop under a covered shelter out of the rain and in the shade.

This year’s market will again will have unlimited booth space. There will be both covered and open vendor space available for the farmers market.  Vendors can choose from an 8 x 8 covered booth or a 12 x 12 open booth.  Craft vendors will be invited on the second Thursday and will be offered a 12 x 12 open booth.  Vendors will be allowed to use a tent cover in the open booth areas.  Booth space will be offered by the week or by the season.  Seasonal farmers market vendors will get first choice of booth space.
