Do You Care About the Royal Baby?

Find out how St. Michael and Albertville residents responded when we asked them that question.

Media from around the world has been gathered outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London for days. On Monday morning, news broke: The Princess of Cambridge was in "the early stages of labor."

We took to Facebook to ask St. Michael Patch readers this question: "How do you feel about the royal baby? Are you excited or could you not care less?"

The answers to the question turned into a discussion about the British monarchy and Lady Antebellum. Huh, you say? Read on:

Kelly Duncan: Couldn't care less.

Pamela Marie: Care less actually

Chris Barrett: Too many other things more important in the world to worry about

Steve Joerg: Less

Leanne Schuetz: It will be fun to hear the news, just as it is fun to hear when any baby is born. But I won't stop my life, waiting around for the news. Congratulations to the Royal couple!

Kelly Duncan: Hillary from Lady Antebellum JUST gave birth to a baby girl!! Now, THAT is news! LOL!

Carolyn Mathieu Bauer: There's a royal baby?

Lynn Cedergren: It's always fun to hear about a baby being born, but like Leanne said, I won't be waiting around for the news.

Scott Klinkhammer: Didn't we break off from Britain about 240 years ago? Why this is news here baffles me.

Heather Carl Cavallin: I'm always interested in hearing about a new little one being born—such happy news! The fact that the parents are royalty -eh, couldn't care less.

Treen Bean: I'm originally from the Commonwealth of Britain so to me this is very exciting. This isn't a culture Americans grew up with so I understand the "couldn't care less" comments. IT'S A BOY! My brother had a baby boy yesterday, so I'm double excited!

Trish Anderson: Boy!!!

Ken Firnstahl: I just love the fact that you used the phrase "could not care less" correctly!

Sandra 'Crown' Martin: I'm excited for them. But their baby isn't any more special than yours or mine.

Shelly Villaverde: really could not care less..... there are bigger issues in the world that need dealt with.

Erik Mitchell: Why should I care?

Michelle Hafermann: I could care less.
