Musicians Encouraged to Join Jam Session at Wright County Fair

The Wright County Fair begins August 1 and runs through August 5.

The Wright County Fair starts next Wednesday and goes through the 5th in Howard Lake. They will be hosting an Acoustical Jam Session for all local musicians on Sunday, August 5 in the Entertainment Tent from 1 to 4 p.m.

A professional sound system will be available to connect to, be sure to have the proper connecting cords and cables if you would like to plug into the system.

Experienced local entertainers, Mike Fretheim and Travis Williams of Red Dot Garage, will lead the session.  All local musicians are encouraged to join them on stage.

There is no entry fee for this event, just bring your instrument and talent and join the group. The public is invited to enjoy the Jam Session.  There is no cover charge for any event in the entertainment tent.

This Jam Session will replace the Fiddle Contest, which no longer will be held at the Wright County Fair.

The Wright County Fair is also looking for local performers who would like some individual stage time to perform in front of a live audience on one of our free stages.  Any type of performing arts that is “family friendly” will be accepted until the stages are booked.  This is a great opportunity for some exposure for new artists.
