STMA Football Academy Closes Program with Food Drive

You can help the academy collect items for the food shelf Saturday at Middle School West.

The St. Michael-Albertville Football Academy will close out its spring football camp this Saturday, June 2, from 8:30 a.m. until noon, at the Practice Fields.

The Academy will be collecting non perishable food items for the Hanover food shelf. All kids are recommended to bring two items to the practice. STMA residents can also drop off food at that time and volunteers will be on hand to collect the donations. The Academy’s goal is 500 food items collected for the food shelf.

The STMA Football Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) youth athletic association. It is a member of American Youth Football which is the largest youth football organization in the United States with over 18,000 teams nationwide. STMA Football Academy is also a member of USA Football which is the official youth league partner of the NFL.

STMA Football Academy’s program is designed to focus on the basics and fundamentals of football. Its Spring Program and Summer Camps build on the repetition of the basics of football and then expand the players’ knowledge and skills of the game as the program progresses. Coaches are made up of former players and current coaches of local youth football. Many of STMA Football Academy’s coaches are currently coaching in the STMA Tackle Football Youth Program and in the Rogers Youth Football Association.

This 2012 Spring Program is the second year of the program locally here at STMA. Guests this year have included former and current Minnesota Gophers quarterback MarQueis Gray.
