Where to Watch the Fourth of July Fireworks Near St. Michael, Albertville

Check out some of the fireworks displays around the Twin Cities in Minnesota as the nation celebrates Independence Day July 4, 2013.

Twin Cities area Fourth of July celebrations are abundant this year.

If you are looking for some fireworks, you can find some great displays near St. Michael and Albertville- - although displays can be found throughout the Twin Cities on the Fourth of July. 
Close to home, it's all about Elk River's annual celebration 

Here's the 2013 Elk River's annual celebration schedule for Thursday, July 4. Most of the action happens near Lions Park, across from the Elk River High School.

4 p.m. Opening Ceremony, including a special tribute to law enforcement, firefighters and other emergency personel.

4-5 p.m. North Memorial Air Care helicopter landing

5-8 p.m.  East side of Park: Elk River Boys and Girl Club's Gamin' Trailer, Climbing Wall by Army National Guard, Games by District 728 Community Education and Bingo For Kids. West side of Park: Food by Curbisde Dining, Dunn Brothers, Coldstone Creamery, waterslide, hair extensions, glow sticks and more.

The Delano Fourth of July Celebration is July 3-6. 

On the Fourth of July, here's some of the activities going on during the celebration:

Delano 27th Annual 4th of July Run

When: 9:15 a.m. 
Where: Delano Crossings Shopping Center (St. Peter Avenue and 13th Street)
Why Go: A nice 5k race through town finishing at Central Park.
Price: $30 on race day between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m.

Delano Parade
When: 10:30 a.m.
Where: Delano
Why Go: Delano’s 4th of July parade is the oldest and largest in the entire state of Minnesota.
Price: Free
 
Delano Entertainment Tent
When: 8 p.m. to midnight
Where: Central Park Band Shell
Why Go: Live music from DiamondBack. GoldStar Carnival rides, Bingo and more are close by.

On Saturday, July 6 you can find more fireworks in Delano. 
 
Giant Firework Display
When: Saturday, July 6 at 10:30 p.m.
Where: Central Park, Delano
Why Go: During the show, the city will launch its largest rocket (16” in diameter) to date.
