Search is On For Miss Albertville, Albertville Princesses

The Albertville Royalty Committee is looking for high school seniors and recent graduates to compete for the crown. Here's how you can get involved.

Each winter, in conjunction with , the Albertville Royalty Program begins its search for Candidates for the up-coming year.   The Royal Court represents Albertville in community parades and coronations, as well as Albertville city events. Volunteerism is an important part of this program; the Royal Court is encouraged to be active in charitable opportunities in and around our community.

A scholarship is provided to apply towards whichever Educational Institution Miss Albertville & each Princess attends following the completion of her reign!  

To be an eligible Candidate for Miss Albertville:

Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 19 years old, but must be 18 or older by June 1, 2013.

Candidates must be a resident of the Albertville, St. Michael, or Otsego area.

Candidates must be actively seeking, or have already received, a high school diploma.

Candidates must be a single female, and agree that they have not been, are not now, and will not become pregnant or married during their year of reign if selected to represent Albertville.

Parents of each candidate will be required to sign the “Albertville Candidate Handbook” to ensure they have full knowledge and understanding of the parent involvement required with the Candidate/Royalty Program.

Candidates must be willing to represent Albertville in a positive and friendly manner.

The candidate experience will be of great benefit as each young lady moves towards the new chapter in her life of college and interviews!  All candidates will receive a listing of dates and times relating to the Candidate Program at the Orientation/Sign-up Meeting. Some of the candidate events include:  Bowling, a fun 12-Hour Rock-A-Thon a Beauty & Etiquette night, the Candidate Style Show and a convertible ride through the Friendly City Days Parade! 

The Royalty Committee is hosting an Orientation/Sign-Up Meeting on Saturday, April 14th beginning at 2:30 pm at the new Albertville City Hall in the multi-purpose room.   During this meeting we will review all Candidate Events and answer any questions you may have! The Candidate and at least one parent are required to attend this meeting.  

Registration deadline for the meeting is Monday, April 9th .
