Special Olympics to Organize St. Michael Area Teams Tonight

Special Olympics Minnesota is looking for volunteers who are willing to help establish a new team in the St. MIchael-Albertville area.

With numbers on the rise and Special Olympics activities now more popular than ever for children and adults of all disabilities and ages statewide, the St. Michael-Albertville area needs residents' help getting the program off the ground. 

A planning meeting will be held tonight at 6 p.m. at in St. Michael for any and all potential volunteers who are interested in contributing to the development of the Special Olympics team representing the STMA area. 

The planning meeting, which will involve future coaches and/or volunteers on any level, will be led by Kelly Monicatti, Special Olympics Minnesota Sports Program Manager. For more information on the meeting, reach Monicatti via email, or contact her by phone at 612-604-1264.
