St. Albert's to Host a Sunday Full of Activities in Albertville

The annual church festival, one of the first of the season, is a huge boost for faith, family and funding.

Were you looking for a way to support your community, have buckets of fun, maybe win some money and prizes and get the best chicken and stuffing dinner in town for the best price?

Then Patch needs to see you at the St. Albert Parish Annual Festival Sunday, July 17, at St. Albert’s Parish, Albertville.

What makes this bigger and better than most festivals? Anyone with a large family will be delighted to hear there is a family cap on the dinner prices! To stuff yourself silly with chicken, stuffing, sides, dessert and beverage – it is only $9 for each person 12 and up, $5 for children 4-11 and FREE for 3 and under. But, wait – there is a $40 cap per family!  Food is served 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m

Of course there is entertainment for your mealtime. Expect a lively afternoon listening to the Bill Koncar Polka Band which plays 11 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Where there is polka, there is beer, and the St. Albert’s Parish will have plenty of hops on tap.

Kids of all ages will find an abundance of activities for their enjoyment. There is a cake walk at which to try your luck and themed raffle baskets to win. There will be prizes – cash prizes totaling $4,500! In fact, one lucky winner will walk away with $1,000. All raffle tickets are priced at just five bucks.

The weather man tells us it will be HOT on Sunday so you can enjoy the polka band from the shady tent out on the church grounds or from the cool and comfortable air-conditioned St. Albert's Parish Center.

St. Albert’s Administrative Assistant Rita Fay said this is the church's biggest event of the year.

“We hope to raise $30,000 minimum for sure. It’s a great deal - especially for families," she said.

St. Albert’s is home to approximately 525 families and led by Fr. Xavier Thelakkatt. It is located at the intersection of 57th Street and Lander Avenue, east of Coborns in Albertville.
