St-Michael Albertville Rotary Donated Over $10,000 to Local and International Projects

The St. Michael-Albertville rotary exists to serve others and has given over $10,000 to local and international groups.

The St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club is proud to announce that it contributed more than $10,000 to local and international service projects during its 2011-2012 Rotary fiscal year. 

Approximately $7,600 of the club’s contributions were awarded locally and to St. Michael-Albertville School District 885.  This included a $2,200 grant from Rotary District 5950 for improvements to the environmental education trail between and .  The STMA Rotary Club’s largest international contribution was $2,000 toward a joint project with the Buffalo and Monticello Rotary Clubs to build a library in Cambodia.

STMA Rotary Club Projects included International Service Projects such as the Cambodia Library Project -$2,000, Making a Difference International - $100, Shelter Box Disaster Relief - $200, Dove
Missions - $140 Local Service Projects/Sponsorships included Hospice House – Buffalo - $300, Eagle Scout (landscaping Trinity Chapel)  - $100, Building It Together - $500, Hanover Food Shelf  - $316, Warm
Hands, Heads, Hearts  - $200, Relay for Life  - $300, BMX sponsor  - $250, STMA Youth Baseball sponsor - $300, School District 885 Projects included Supermileage Club  - $250, Environmental Path - $2,200 grant from Rotary District 5950, Senior Scholarship  - $750, Middle School WEB Program - $500, Black Hills Study Group  - $250, Business Professionals of America  - $500, STRIVE Program  - $250, Literacy Program (books for first graders) - $636,
