The Three Rivers Park District is hosting a prairie seed collection volunteer opportunity 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Crow-Hassan Park Reserve, Rogers.
Volunteers assist wildlife staff in collecting wildflower seed for prairie restoration and enhancement projects. Training and collection bags are provided. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, or be accompanied by a responsible adult. Groups are welcome but must have at least one adult per eight youths.
It is open to those ages 12 and older. Minors need a permission form filled out to participate.
