The following was provided by Three Rivers Park District. Three Rivers Park District will operate aeration systems in Cleary Lake, Murphy Lake, Hyland Lake and Lake Rebecca beginning after Jan. 9, 2013, which may result in unsafe ice conditions on portions of the lakes for the duration of the winter. Anyone using the lakes should be aware of the danger of open water or thin ice. The aeration system is used to keep fish alive by assuring they receive sufficient oxygen. Hyland Lake Park Reserve is located at 8737 East Bush Lake Road, Bloomington. Lake Rebecca Park Reserve is located at 9831 County Road 50, Rockford. Morning Traveling Nordic Ski Club The Morning Traveling Ski Club meets on Wednesday mornings, Jan. 2 through Feb. 20, from 10-11:30 a.m. The club will meet at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove, on Jan. 2 and 9, at Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bloomington, on Jan. 16 and 23, at French Regional Park, Plymouth, on Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, and at Baker Park Reserve, Medina, on Feb. 13 and 20.
