Albertville's I-94 Project Moves Ahead
After last week's Albertville City Council meeting, the project has been approved to advertise and accept bids.
The Interstate 94 project in Albertville has been officially given the green light to move ahead. The agreement with the state of Minnesota in January solidifies the state contribution of $5.7 million towards the project. The payment from the state comes in two installments, 50 percent at word of contract and 50 percent when half of the project is completed. Albertville's city attorney cautioned that “some of the lingo in the contract must be incorporated into the construction contract” to avoid any issues. Issues such as if the state doesn’t have funding or in the case of a future shutdown.
