The I-94 Chamber of Commerce will also chip in for the community information session, moderated by the Women of Today and Patch Associate Regional Editor Mike Schoemer.
The St. Michael-Albertville (STMA) Women of Today will team up with St. Michael Patch and theI-94 West Chamber of Commerce sponsor a Candidates Forum from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West. This forum will provide an opportunity for area residents to obtain information on candidates for Albertville City Council, Albertville Mayor, St. Michael City Council, St. Michael Mayor, and STMA School Board. The forum will include brief presentations by candidates and a short question and answer session. Patch editors will be on hand to assist the Women of Today with questions and moderating the event, while also reporting the event for the Patch website. The students held a "White Out" last week and wore white clothing in honor of the Benilde-St. Margaret skater.
Joining literally dozens of other Twin Cities metro schools in a show of solidarity, St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West students donned white for a day in support of Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player who was paralyzed last week. Jablonski was checked from behind in a junior varsity hockey game vs. Wayzata. He was completely paralyzed moments after the hit, but has shown progress as of late, regaining movement in his arms and legs. The North Wright County RiverHawks are also planning to show their support for Jablonski and a Minnehaha Academy girl who also suffered a spinal cord injury after being hit from behind last week. Her prognosis is better, but she is still recovering at Hennepin County Medical Center…
