Highway 241 Crash Hinders Morning Traffic in St. Michael

Two vehicles were badly damaged during Monday morning's commute.

In a "you saw it first" moment, St. Michael Patch has images from an accident this morning on Minnesota Highway 241 near Marksmen Metals in St. Michael.  The accident, which involved a minivan and a small pickup, shut down the left lane on eastbound Highway 241 while Minnesota State Patrol officers and local first responders tended to the scene. The initial call was filed around 7:30 a.m. An ambulance was on site. Patch is waiting for a complete report from the Minnesota State Highway Patrol about this incident.  Winter Storm Orko caused hundreds of accidents Sunday and Monday around the Twin Cities area. DEVELOPING STORY: Motorcycle Accident Shuts Down I-94 Saturday

First-responders shut down the freeway after a single motorcycle lost control on the freeway around 3 p.m. Saturday.

The state patrol closed the freeway for accident reconstruction and re-routed eastbound traffic via a detour through St. Michael and Rogers, with eastbound traffic getting back to the freeway at Highway 101.  That backed up cars for more several miles, making Staurday afternoon traffic look more like traffic arriving from lakes country on …

He had a big gash on his head with blood down his face and he said he couldn't feel his leg. He was going in and out of consciousness. I keep looking to see if there are any updates on him, but can't find any at this point. All I know is his name was Jim.   more ›

Thank you Sara for your comment-- you have no idea how much it means to his family and dear friends!! We are saddened and in shock of this horrific accident. If anyone knew Jeremiah, they know that he would have NEVER meant to hurt or kill anyone. He was not the person that the media makes him out to be. Nobody knows how many times he has tried to change his life. All he ever wanted was a normal …   more ›
