Two vehicles were badly damaged during Monday morning's commute.
In a "you saw it first" moment, St. Michael Patch has images from an accident this morning on Minnesota Highway 241 near Marksmen Metals in St. Michael. The accident, which involved a minivan and a small pickup, shut down the left lane on eastbound Highway 241 while Minnesota State Patrol officers and local first responders tended to the scene. The initial call was filed around 7:30 a.m. An ambulance was on site. Patch is waiting for a complete report from the Minnesota State Highway Patrol about this incident. Winter Storm Orko caused hundreds of accidents Sunday and Monday around the Twin Cities area. Winter Storm "Orko" was more than a bit of a nuisance, but there was a bit of fun to be had in all that white stuff. The winter storm watch has now been upgraded to a warning from Saturday night at midnight to 6 p.m. Monday for the entire Wright County area.
UPDATE 9:39 a.m. Sunday — The National Weather Service's latest information for Wright County released early Sunday morning states blizzard conditions are expected for the area. Around 7 a.m. Sunday, the weather service also stated thunderstorms are possible along with the winter storm. The area is still under both a winter storm warning and a hazardous weather outlook. The short term forecast from the National Weather Service beginning Sunday morning is: .NOW...
