Fridley Teen Charged in Rogers Gas Station Robbery to Stand Trial as Adult

Dalton James Ritchie, 17, of Fridley is charged with robbing a SuperAmerica station in Rogers at gunpoint in mid-August.

A Fridley teenager arrested in August after police say he robbed a Rogers convenience store at gunpoint before being tackled by a store customer will stand trial as an adult.   Dalton James Ritchie, 17, waived certification proceedings in Hennepin County District Court and will face adult charges in the Aug. 14 incident. Ritchie is charged with aggravated first-degree robbery, a felony with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $35,000 fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison. Rogers police were watching the SuperAmerica station on Diamond Lake Road in Rogers just after 11:30 p.m. Aug. 14 because three other SuperAmerica stations in Mounds View, Brooklyn Park and New Brighton had been robbed of…

UPDATED: Domino's Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed at Knifepoint in Otsego

Two juvenile males have been arrested for the alleged first-degree aggravated robbery of a St. Michael Domino's driver while on a trip through Otsego.

  A St. Michael Domino's delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint by two juvenile males in Otsego Tuesday night. According to the Wright County Sheriff's Office, driver Mark Lilleboe, 32, of St. Michael, was approached by two males, ages 15 and 17, "who showed a knife and took the delivery person's wallet, phone and pizza." The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 80th St. NE and Kadler Ave NE in Otsego, according to the report. As a result of an investigation, the two juvenile males were arrested for first-degree aggravated robbery. Their names are not being released due to their age. UPDATE: FBI Arrests Bank Robber, Could Be Albertville Connection

The FBI announced the arrest of Mark Edward Wetsch of Minneapolis in connection with a bank robbery in Brewster, Minn, yesterday. Investigators are evaluating if he is the "Man in Black."

UPDATE 3:05 p.m. – Mark Wetsch, the man arrested yesterday, is a former nursing director of Sholom Home West in St. Louis Park. He was convicted in 2005 of taking $1.4 million from the senior care facility through an invoice scheme that occurred between September 1997 and January 2005 . *** The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Minneapolis Field Office is investigating a man arrested in St. Peter, MN, in connection with a bank robbery in Brewster, MN, yesterday, and are evaluating whether he is the highly sought "Man in Black." Albertville Suspect Strikes Uptown Bremer Bank

The man federal and Wright County officials believe is responsible for a host of armed robberies in the Twin Cities area has struck again, this time in Uptown Minneapolis.

The man who FBI agents and local authorities believe is connected to a string of Twin Cities area armed bank robberies, including the November holdup of the Premier Banks location in Albertville, has struck again. This time, an armed man entered the Bremer Bank branch location at Calhoun Square in Uptown area of Minneapolis around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber, who was described as a white male, entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He showed the teller a gun and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank and exited to a parking ramp, and utilized a white 2005-2008 crossover style vehicle to drive away. Wright County Sheriff Not Ruling out Connections in Bank Robberies

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty of St. Michael said his department is working closely with the FBI and other metro police agencies to catch a bank robber that’s been hitting branches all over the Twin Cities.

Wright County Sherriff Joe Hagerty has seen a few bank holdups in his time. “I think, in the last few years, there have been about seven that I can recall. Each time, we’ve been able to help catch the guys responsible.” He’s hopeful that will be the case this time, about a week after Premier Banks of Albertville was robbed at gunpoint. He said he isn’t certain the robbery here is tied to bank hits in places such as Arden Hills, Richfield, Northfield and Shakopee, but he isn’t ruling anything out. “You look at the surveillance photos from ours and the Arden Hills holdup last weekend, and they’re awfully similar. Armed Robber Matching Albertville Thief's Description Strikes Again

A man who some metro detectives believe might be connected to a string of robberies has struck again, this time in the northeast suburb of Arden Hills.

A thief that fits the description of the man who robbed the Albertville Premier Banks location Wednesday, and several other metro banks, has struck again. At approximately 12:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, a TCF Bank branch located at 1160 W. County Road E., Arden Hills, Minn., was robbed by a lone, white male. The robber entered the bank and approached the teller counter. Once at the teller counter, the robber demanded and received cash while brandishing a handgun. The robber pointed the handgun at bank personnel and at a customer while inside the bank.
