A semi truck pulling a Target trailer left the road Friday morning about five miles west of Albertville and sank into an icy pond.

Huge Peanut Butter Recall Expands to Walmart, Target & GNC

The voluntary recall of salmonella-contaminated peanut and almond butter now includes more than 70 products.

Buyer beware. The peanut or almond butter in your pantry may be tainted. Last month's limited voluntary recall of salmonella-tainted peanut and almond butter has expanded beyond Trader Joe’s stores to include more than 70 products sold nationwide. Stores that carry products named in the recall include: The almond and peanut butters were manufactured between May 1 and Sept. 24. Sunland, Inc. is the manufacturer of the peanut and almond butter, which are sold under a variety of brand names, including Target's Archer Farms brand and Earth Balance. Thirty people across 19 states have reported salmonella food poisoning that was later linked to the contaminated nut butters, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About two-…

VIDEO: Crews Pull Target Truck from Pond West of Albertville

After more than eight hours submerged in an icy pond, crews from various state agencies and regional businesses were able to remove the truck from a pond.

Slowly, but surely, the winches began to crank, and the Target truck that has made national news today emerged from its icy home. After more than eight hours partially submerged in a pond off the westbound lane of Interstate 94, a pair of Collins Towing trucks were able to pull the semi truck and trailer from a small pond. The crash, which happened near mile marker 197 on Interstate 94, according to the Minnesota Highway Patrol, started in the eastbound lane. But driver John Netiffee of Anoka was able to avoid the westbound lanes of traffic and skidded his rig across several hundred feet of ice before it sank into the freezing water.
