Election Results 2012: Voters Name Lorie Skjerven Gildea Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice

Barry Anderson and David R. Stras retain Minnesota Associate Justice seats.

Incumbent Lorie Skjerven Gildea will retain her role as Minnesota Supreme Court Justice in her win over Dan Griffith in the Nov. 6 general election, according to unofficial results posted on the Minnesota Secretary of State website. In the statewide race, Skjerven Gilda received 59.99 percent of the votes and Dan Griffith received 39.62 percent of the vote.  Skjerven Gildea was appointed Chief Justice January 2006 and her term was set to expire January 2013. Other statewide judicial winners included incumbent Barry Anderson for Associate Justice - Supreme Court 1 (Seat 1) over Dean Barkley. Barack Obama Re-Elected President

President Obama defeated Republican Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were re-elected Tuesday night, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his vice-presidential running mate Rep. Paul Ryan. NBC News called the presidential election for Obama around 10:15 CST. The president sent a message on Twitter at 10:14 saying simply, "This happened because of you. Thank you." The Obama campaign won the most expensive presidential race ever, with both parties raising about $2.6 billion. The race was filled with negative campaigning on both sides, from President Obama attacking Romney’s business experience with Bain Capital to Romney lambasting Obama’s handling of the economy. WATCH: Rep. Michele Bachmann, Volunteer Share Concerns about Minnesota Voter Fraud

Bachmann, from her "Victory Center" in St. Michael, shared a campaign volunteer's story of alleged Democrat-supported voter fraud in Minnesota via a video message Monday night.

During her brief visit to the St. Michael GOP "Victory Center" Monday night, part of a six-community swing through her Sixth Congressional District, Rep. Michele Bachmann took a moment to share a video message with her constituency, and St. Michael Patch.  In the two-minute video, Bachmann introduces a volunteer, named "Joan," who heard from a man she believed to be a Mexican immigrant who was told by the DFL he could "vote, even if he was illegal." Michele Bachmann Stops In St. Michael on Last-Minute Get Out the Vote Tour

With hours until the polls open, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann was in St. Michael Monday night on stop five of six thanking campaign and party volunteers.

Colorful Congresswoman Michele Bachmann hit the campaign trail hard the day before Election Day, visiting all six of her District 6 GOP "victory" offices in a district-wide tour Monday. Bachmann stopped to personally thanked each and every volunteer working the phones at the St. Michael District 6 office, stop No. 5 of six planned for the night. At around 7 p.m. there were more than 30 volunteers manning the phones for the Tea Party caucus founder and other Republican endorsed candidates. An additional 30 high school students were on hand after campaigning door-to-door in the mist and clod throughout St. Michael and Albertville.
