Mike H.....if you think Mike B has exclusivity in mud slinging on the Patch, please open your eyes. I don't believe in taking legitimate voters rights away...I do believe in not allowing those that aren't eligible to vote to vote - and never giving those that came here illegally that right. . And I certainly believe in greatly reducing the largesse that Democrats use other peoples' money and resources for to enhance their chances of votes.
The leftist posters on the Patch don't seem to believe in equality....only for those that have earned their way to give up their freedoms or resources for those that aren't willing to.
Feel free to move...I highly encourage going to California - they practice phony freedom there

Not speaking for Mike B -- but Minneapolis/St Paul and Duluth are filled with people who have no shame in using government to be their gun to rob other people of their freedoms and their resources.
And Mike Hindin -- you are also free to leave this state -- there are many of us who are trying to instill liberty principles that provide true equality for all.

ReplyThe DFL put forward a tremendous number of anti liberty and pro tax/spend bills to the legislature. Some of them didn't make it all the way through -- but all of the really nasty, negative legislative was proposed and put forward by the DFL this session and won't be forgotten. We'll never get rid of the socialist legislators from Minneapolis/St Paul and Duluth....but I sure hope the rest of Minnesota wakes up to just what the DFL as a whole wants to do to you.

ReplyThe shell game continues -- taking money from taxpayers in the form of income/sales taxes and holding $ and mandates over the heads of city officials. The practice of LGA leveraging needs to almost exclusively go away

ReplyOk Patch -- it's only been 6 months since the last election - can you give being the Democrat Party's mouthpiece a rest until at least next year? Here you are, digesting and spitting out one of the most inaccurate (it's a Democrat poll, afterall) polls at the behest of the Graves campaign as if it is your duty to do so. Ever heard of unbiased journalism?

ReplyDayton isn't a leader in any sense of the word. He asks much of others while doing a terrible job being in the top political position in the state. Incompetency with regard to the Vikings stadium fiasco, tax reform and keeping businesses to stay or grow in the state (without taxpayers subsidy). In military vernacular -- Dayton is a "lead from the rear" general.

Agreed. The most divisive, least transparent, anti freedom administration in this country's history needs to go.
This is also why government needs to be downsized (especially federal and state). This is also why the 1st and 2nd Amendments are so vitally important.

On the article Report: STMA School Board Tells City Councils 'Political Gamesmanship' Hurting Schools

ReplySTMA admin and Albertville/St Michael City councils meet on a semi-frequent basis. This was no ad hoc meeting to discuss school funding equity - it was simply an agenda item as a normal course of doing things
Also, the issue of school funding equity has nothing to do with either council -- it is a legislative matter. Democrats aren't going to be easily convinced to give up their special funding ratios in districts that are disproportionately receiving the benefit of them

Joyce -- So I assume you'll be an activist for the removal of special "hate crime" laws? The laws that Democrats have imposed on the rest of society that treat certain people unequally based on their beliefs (IE. a crime is a crime and should be treated as thus) ? I assume you'll also work to get rid of "affirmative action" and quotas that apply imposition of unequal treatment ? I assume that you'll be a leading activist to get rid of much of what has been shoved down to society at the behest of people who want things codified in civil law to provide them special rights that may go against others beliefs.

Savick (you, being a prime example of one of those liberal insult slingers). Minneapolis/St Paul and Duluth are resource sinkholes.
You are so easily assuming that MIke B is getting the phrase "liberal mudholes" from a neonazi or any other place. How can you possibly know what he is thinking and where he gets his information from - as it would appear that you two wouldn't agree on what color the sky is?
