Lisa Peterson, Neighbor

Lisa Peterson joined St. Michael Patch in January 2011 as a freelance writer. She lives in St. Michael with her husband, Mitch, and their four children. 

A graduate of the University of Michigan (the "real" U of M, she states), Peterson joined the Peace Corps after college and literally traveled the globe. Because of this experience, she now speaks five languages and has visited more than two dozen countries. 

A fan of the arts, she loves all music and teaches ballet in Champlin. She'll cover much of the arts "beat" for St. Michael Patch. 

She's also a runner (marathons and car pools) and helps organize the St. Michael Daze and Knights in-line skating marathon with her husband. She's running a full marathon this year to raise money for World Vision.
