Watch: Highlights from the STMA v. Monticello Football Game

Friday the 13th turned out to be good luck for the STMA Knights as they defeated the Monticello Magic in Mississippi 8 varsity football action with a 14-7 win.

The game started out with a first quarter touchdown by Monticello. St. Michael-Albertville came back later in the game with a 36-yard touchdown pass to tie the game for the Knights at 7-7.  A six-yard touchdown sealed the win for the Knights.

The team travels to Big Lake High School for a 7 p.m. kickoff Friday, Sept. 20. 

The Knights next home game is Friday, Sept. 27 for homecoming against Chisago Lake High School. The Coaches Association will be hosting a STMA Homecoming Tailgating event 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 in the Middle School West parking lot for STMA staff, students, families, alumni and football fans. Bring your chairs. Dehmer’s hamburgers are $2 for STMA students and staff, $4 for a burger basket. Hamburgers will be $3 for all other football fans and $5 for a burger basket.
