Storm Update: National Weather Service Confirms Tornado Hit St.Michael
An investigation Wednesday showed Tuesday's storm did drop one tornado on St. Michael.
Give St. Michael the dubious honor of having the state's first tornado in 2011.
The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has confirmed that an F0 or F1 tornado did form and hit the western corner of St. Michael, causing destruction to a handful of homes near the intersection of Jana Avenue Northeast and 42nd Street Northeast.
The investigations team toured the St. Michael site and made announced its findings this afternoon.
