St. Michael-Albertville Schools Produce Video on Operations Levy

The segment, which was produced at the high school's broadcast media room, features Superintendent Dr. Jim Behle presenting facts about the upcoming vote.

With just six days until a vote that could raise funding for the , the head of schools has stepped in front of the camera to lay out some of the facts.

Superintendent Dr. Jim Behle is featured in the seven-and-a-half-minute video, which discusses the topics surrounding the controversial operations levy increase, which would move that fund from $500 per pupil to $695 per pupil.

That would increase the school district's share of the tax burden about $7.33 on the average home in St. Michael and Albertville, plus surrounding areas in the district boundary, including portions Otsego and Monticello Township.

The video is within the school district's rights of fair use leading up to a levy or bonding election, because it's intent is to be educational, and no additional moneys beyond the budget were used in production cost.
